The Helen Doron Early English teaching method is based on children's natural aptitude for absorbing language. Classes are conducted entirely in English, in small groups of 4 to 8 students. Lessons are based on games, activities and songs, with plenty of repetition of words and phrases.
Every student receives a learning set containing books and sound tracks. The sound tracks contain the texts, songs and stories learnt in class. These sound tracks are used for 'background hearing' at home. Simply play them twice a day, for your child to hear in the background as he goes about his ordinary routine – playing, eating, going to sleep etc. In this way your child gets used to hearing English. The combination of repeated hearing and positive reinforcement in small group learning mimics the way children learn their mother tongue.
