Learning material
Learning is more efficient when the material studied is related to familiar things and preferably in a multi sensorial way. For children, it is important to relate the sounds (words) with familiar shapes and visions. The learning books contain paintings and stickers designed to complement and strengthen the teaching subjects. The learning material is arranged in measured portions and combines songs, activities, conversations and detailed parents' guideline.
Children from the age of 3 enjoy looking at and colouring the activities booklet. Sticking stickers and connecting points activities will require some assistance for children up to the age of 5.Going over the books at home will refresh and base what has been taught in the lesson. Nevertheless, take care not to paint in the book currently used in class. When the children will go on to a new book, they can colour in the older ones.
The learning program, prepared by Helen Doron is designed for 7 learning years and is suitable for learners at all ages in our range.
Activity
Activity, motion and touch adds more contexts to the learning issues. The learning system activates the children with painting, sticking, motions, acting and singing.Inclusion of the words and expressions studied in the songs enhances the learning considerably. Singing is accompanied by gestures and activities relevant to the songs' subjects. The words are learned in various contexts and the singing helps embedding the language.
Here, too, the parents familiarity with the songs and the repetition and motion games at home, adds joy and enhances the learning.
application of the language
The child applies the studies material and by that acquires the language. The application is shown by speech, songs, games and conversations. Conversation passages included in the learning program train the children in real usage of the language in familiar everyday situations. It will be good if you would combine, at home, conversations and expression in English that were taught at class and draw the child's attention to words and expressions when they appear in TV, etc. When you speak English with the children, do it with leisure and fun, without pressurizing or testing them.
